Getting Started
Free Scheduling Apps
Try now! Leverage the full functionality, no registration necessary:
Subscription Purchase: To unlock data limits, subscriptions are available. Use the Pricing Table at the Sales Site to purchase a subscription that suits your budget and data requirements.
Registration Process: To make a purchase, register for free with an email and password. After registration is confirmed via email, log in and purchase your desired subscription. Use the email/password combination as your license to log in and enjoy our products with increased data limits and optional cloud publishing.
Free Use: In case you missed it, the free use of our products has data limitations. We don't cut functionality just because it's free. These limitations are based on the number of projects, tasks, resources, and Pubsets. When you buy a subscription, you can manage larger projects, sprints, or portfolios of projects and get more Pubsets.
How to Use the Spreadsheets
For advanced users, we recommend using our Spreadsheet for quick and productive data entry and synchronization.
Download the Spreadsheet
The Spreadsheets include important application seed data. The simplest way to get started is to copy and paste your existing project data into the Timebars sheet and the MetaData sheet of the tbClient Workbook. Create unique IDs and set the Parent ID for each row. After saving the Spreadsheet file, simply drag and drop it onto the Canvas. Your new project and task information will be imported and stored in the browser.
Important Spreadsheet Naming Requirements
- The filename must begin with "tbClient" (first 8 characters)
- After "tbClient", you can add any additional text to the filename
- The file must use one of these extensions: .xls (Excel), .xlsm (Excel with macros), or .ods (OpenOffice/LibreOffice Calc)
Example valid filenames: tbClient_January2025.xls, tbClientCustomerData.xlsm, tbClient-project-database.ods, etc. Incorrectly named files will not be recognized by the import system.
When using drag-and-drop for data import, a backup of existing data is automatically generated beforehand. This backup file will be stored in the default folder for your browser (usually the Downloads folder). If needed, you can restore the data to its previous state by dragging and dropping the backup file back onto the Canvas.
After completing the drag-and-drop Spreadsheet import for the first time, you will need to log in again and refresh your browser to store your license in the cache. Once this is done, your license will be included with the data when exporting from the browser to the Spreadsheet, so you won't need to log in every time.
Spreadsheet Automation
Inside the Spreadsheet are many macro-based buttons such as Import, Format, Validate, Make Pick Lists, and Show/Hide columns. Use the validator to clean your data e.g. mandatory columns have data. The validator will highlight dirty data in red. Fix your data before importing.
Exporting and importing into the Spreadsheet can be used as additional data backup for added data integrity and confidence. Exporting is easy, click the yellow up arrow on the black menu bar at the top. It will create csv files. To import the csv files, open the Spreadsheet, go to the desired tab e.g. Timebars and click the Import Button.
There are many other custom macros in the Spreadsheet to help improve productivity. Go ahead, download and explore them. You never have to use bulky data entry forms, use Spreadsheets with picklists on cells for clean data entry. We guarantee that using our Spreadsheet to build up your project information will improve productivity and make project management fun again.
Cloud Publishing
Cloud publishing is enabled when you log in with a valid subscription. It lets you share schedules easily over the web.
Publish Your Schedules: Once logged in with an active subscription, you can publish your project schedules to our secure cloud servers. This creates a shareable URL that you can distribute to stakeholders, team members, or clients.
Access Controls: Published schedules can be set to public or private. Private schedules require a password that you define. You can update or delete published schedules at any time from within the application.
Pubset Limits: Free accounts include limited Pubsets (published schedule sets). Paid subscriptions offer increased Pubset limits based on your subscription tier. Check the Pricing Table for details.
View-Only Access: Recipients of your published schedule URL will have read-only access. They can view, zoom, pan, and print the schedule, but cannot modify your data. This ensures your project information stays secure.
Always Up-to-Date: When you republish a schedule, the same URL is used, so links you've shared remain valid. Your stakeholders will always see the latest version without needing new links.
